1) FIRECRACKER FRUIT BOMB POPS
Ingredients:
Popsicle molds (available at Crate & Barrell and Target)
1 C strawberries, fresh or frozen (chop fresh berries or completely thaw frozen berries)
1 C fresh pear (no skin), chopped
1 C blueberries --fresh or frozen (completely thaw frozen berries)
3 tsp maple syrup, will use one tsp per fruit
Wooden popsicle or craft sticks (narrow ones or wider ones like tongue depressors will work--depends on shape of your mold)
Directions:
Put chopped strawberries and 1 tsp maple syrup in a blender and puree. Pour into bottom popsicle molds (the puree should occupy the bottom third of each individual popsicle mold). Put into the freezer without the popsicle stick in it and freeze until hard.
Put chopped pear and 1 tsp maple syrup into clean blender and puree. Pour into popsicle mold on top of the frozen strawberry puree. It will occupy the middle third of the popsicle mold. Put in the plastic stick that come with the popsicle mold and freeze.
Put blueberries and 1 tsp maple syrup into blender and puree. Remove plastic popsicle sticks from the popsicles, pour in the blueberry puree. Now insert the wooden sticks into the hole that the plastic stick made. You may need to wiggle it around to get it back in the hole. Freeze until hard.
NOTE: If your fruit is not naturally sweet enough, you may need to add more syrup until you enjoy the flavor. Also, if your fruit isn't juicy enough to puree, you may add a little apple juice to it.
