Parmesan Green Beans

Parmesan Green Beans

Parmesan seems to make everything taste better. Authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano, Romano, or Asiago are other options. See what you have in your fridge's deli drawer. For the best flavor, buy a chunk of cheese and grate it yourself just before using.

Ingredients

Serves 4.

* Coarse salt and ground pepper
* 2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen French-cut green beans
* 2 tablespoons butter
* 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
* 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese


Directions

1. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add green beans, and cook until tender, 2 to 4 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
2. Add butter, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon Parmesan. Season with salt and pepper, and toss to combine. Serve sprinkled with remaining Parmesan.
